Rise x2

Rise X2

This is one of my first photo’s when I got serious about photography that I was really proud of. I always loved the moon but the crescent shape back then was what I tried to photograph. Now, I would of tried to get the moon full and large and the sunrise. My preference now is large and full. Who knows what my flavor of the week will be in a few years.

It’s only lonely enough to scare you

I didn’t get a lot of time to take photos of our snow since I had to make sure I made it home alive. What I did get I’m in love with. Snow doesn’t happen that often in Portland but when it does it gets my heart pumping.

It's only lonely enough to scare you

Dooney Calendar

Dooney - AprilThis is the photo we used for the month of April for the Dooney Calendar. I have no idea how we got him to make this face, i’m sure a lot of treats were used. Dooney dog was a professional, and would love to work with him again.

Airplane Pilot Dooney!

Airplane Pilot Dooney!, originally uploaded by Squid Vicious.

I recently had a secret photo shoot with my soon to be sister in laws dog who is currently in Pakistan doing work. For the holiday we wanted to put a calendar together of her dog with different costumes and props for each month. This photo was for month June. Dooney was an amazing model. He had a lot of fun letting us dress him up for an exchange of treats. It’s really fun to think of what kind of props you can use during months that were not home of a National holiday.

2011 is almost done.

The year of 2011 has been amazing. I had a ton of great times, I got engaged to the amazing Trisha. I wanted to share a few of my favorite shots. But not the normal list that you might see from everyone else. These are shots that you haven’t seen. You’ve seen a shot or two from an adventure but I never posted/published or released these into the world. These are shots that made the cutting room floor for no particular reason, but now I want to share them with you now!

Olallie Lake

Double Mount Jefferson with a dash of Olallie Lake

After getting lost but never too lost we found our way to Olallie Lake. A magical place with an amazing view of Mt Jefferson. It was a very cold morning with a boring sunrise. It just didn’t have any oomph.  But after the sun decided to bring it’s A game we were treated to a surprisingly nice view.

Our City from a distance

It’s all about having your gear with you. Of course it helps to know magic and have the hair stand up on your back when a great sunset is about to happen. I had a feeling and I was ready. I was about 1/3 of the way to the area where I took this photo when I received a text from a friend asking if I was taking photos of this sunset. This day’s sunset was supposed to have it’s photo taken. It was begging for it and even a friend knew I would be out. You just got to love the late night sunset.

Border Crossing

Border CrossingYou can either stand on the sidewalk like everyone else and take a photo of 1 thing at a time, or you can put on your big boy pants and do everything at once and make magic. It’s up to you.
