The Beach, Was Awesome.

The Beach, was awesome., originally uploaded by Squid Vicious.

It was a tad cold but it’s only the last week of May, can’t expect anything but 52 degrees. I would get text messages asking, how is the weather. My response “It’s sunny and amazing. kind of chilly though” and I would hear back “thunder lighting a lot rain. Wait, really, you mean I was at the coast and the weather was good. Yep! We camped 3 days and 2 nights with only about 20 minutes of rain during the times we were awake. It was amazing, didn’t expect it, was prepared to spend all day in the tent, it wasn’t needed. The Oregon Coast in 1 word, awesome.

Can’t beat a perfect weekend with the girlfriend “TNT” camping, s’mores, campfires and sunsets!

5 years

This is my 6,000th public picture I’ve posted to Flickr. It is also my 5 year anniversary this month of being on Flickr. It has been an awesome 5 years. I wasn’t a photographer I was a person who had a point and shoot Sony Cybershot that I bought from an electronics store that was going out of business for $80. My photography addiction started with a trip to Sturgis on my 2000 Harley Fatboy. Once I got back less then 2 weeks later my motorcycle was stolen and I needed a new hobby. Thank you photography and thank you Flickr and your wonderful community that I call friends.

Photographer – Squid Vicious

To find something like this is pretty cool, a blog written about you is always a nice thing to find but I didn’t expect it from www.oregonlive.com. If you care you should set up some google alerts I have a bunch for work and a lot with my name or something around that. Pretty much if someone blogs your name or whatever you have set up it will send you an email to a link of that article. I wouldn’t see half the things about me or work if I hadn’t set these up.

But back to me, I had no idea that I had posted 100+ photos to the oregonlive.com website. I have entered a few different contest that they’ve run for photos and I have won 2 of them. It’s not about winning a gift card but just something that makes me smile. I’m not crazy about them owning rights or something to that nature of my photo. They’re not making money off me, plus that is why I have www.fivezerothree.com set up so if someone did want something they could get it big and pretty.

Today was a good day!

two person job

I have seen this type of graffiti before. Someone does all the work and someone with a pen adds the joke. I have a theory, this is the same type of person who writes his friends name on the bathroom stall graffiti style that say’s “for a good time call (503) 482-8175! They would add “SQUID” ha ha, not even funny!

This might be my last upload from my old apartment. I was digging thru all my stuff and found this photo that I had not posted. Of course with the fog we’ve had the last couple weeks reminded me how amazing the week this photo was taken really was.
